At a time when the producers of computer chips tend to focus on the demand for smaller and smaller chips, large detector coils seem strangely out of place. For that reason, some reviewers have complained about the size of the new Detech coils. Still, other reviewers have countered that criticism with a gentle reminder, a reminder about the benefits provided by a highly stable detector. Those same reviewers make note of the fact that Detech coils for metal detectors allow certain detectors to demonstrate unquestionable stability. Those reviewers have thus encouraged detector users to look past the obvious size of the latest detector coils.

In the past, metal detectors with standard or concentric coils managed to pick up signals from underground, metal objects that had not become buried far from the surface. Those coils often allowed valuable pieces to remain hidden deep underground. Now the Detech coils for metal detectors can provide each metal detector with the ability to search for metal objects that have been carried to a foot or more below the surface.

Now, while no coin collector or treasure hunter can ignore the ability of the Detech coils to furnish a detector with improved detection at greater depth, a user of metal detectors often looks for a machine with additional features. The Detech coils can help a detector to possess those features. The Detech coils have managed to mix together the most desirable features of the standard and concentric coils.

The user of a metal detector expects that detector to demonstrate good ground balance. A detector that has been equipped with Detech coils should be seen by the detector user as assurance of good ground balance. At the same time, the Detech coils can confer upon any detector an improved stability. That is an important feature. The user of a metal detector does not want to handle a machine that seems to “jump around.”

A detector that has Detech coils does a better job of pinpointing objects of interest. A detector that has Detech coils does not emit a lot of false positive signals. The Detech coils allow the detector user to sail past any “metal trash” that might lie in the soil that covers a particular search area. For that reason, the Detech coils also give any metal detector the ability to exhibit great target identification. That represents yet another feature that any coin collector or treasure hunter would want to find in an available metal detector.

As the world of metal detecting expands, Detech coils show features that match with the same expanding and changing world. Detech coils are suited for use on the Minelab Explorer, the Explorer XS, the Explorer II, the Sovereign XS, the Sovereign Elite, the Sovereign GT and the Quattro MP. Manufacturers in both the northern and southern hemisphere have decided to produce Detech coils.

Meanwhile, detector users in all four corners of the world are discovering the Detech coils. Those detector users praise the absence of loud noises from any detector that has the Detech coils. They also feel well rewarded by the solid responses that come from each detector that has been fitted with such coils. An unbroken series of solid responses from multiple detectors has ushered in a solid and strong response from the detector users. Those detector operators have come to love the Detech coils.

Is the Minelab Eureka Gold going to make you scream “Eureka!”. It just may. This is one of the best all around gold nugget detectors that you can possible find. It offers you incredible depth, the type of super sensitivity that you need when you are prospecting, triple frequency that is outstanding and some incredible features that will have you waking up early and heading out that door to get going. Let’s take a more detailed look at the Minelab Eureka Gold to see exactly what this machine has to offer, if it’s design and functions fit your needs and if this detector is right for you.

Minelab Eureka Gold Metal Detector

To find out just exactly what the Minelab Eureka Gold has to offer, let’s take a look at everything that is important for treasure hunters. This machine is designed to sweep for gold, so we will look at the specifications of this machine, have a detailed look at its features and functions, find out if it is user friendly and how it stacks up against any potential competition.

Minelab Eureka Gold Battery Pack

Let’s get started with the specifications and the main features and then we will go into more detail about the actual experience and use of the Minelab Eureka Gold. This is a triple frequency machine that allows you to switch to 6.4, 20 or 60 kHz. This in itself is an incredible feature for gold hunters. It has digital ground balance along with two speed adjustable or fixed mode. You don’t need to be concerned about iron, as the Minelab Eureka Gold has an iron rejection in each of the three frequencies.

The coil system is a ten inch elliptical sweep. In regard to design, the Minelab Eureka Gold has a very durable scuff cover, a very strong metal arm rest and a stabilizer strap. The battery system using state of the art technology with NiMH rechargeable batteries. You have a mounting system with a two position box and it all comes wrapped up with a warranty of three years.

Now, the frequencies will be very helpful depending on what you want to do. The 6.4 will give you the greatest depth, the 20 works great for general sweeping and the very sensitive 60 will find you the smaller gold nuggets that others are passing over. Spend a few hours on this frequency and your day is a success.

Minelab Eureka Gold - Ideal Gold Nugget Metal Detector

Now, this machine has a digital ground balance called an Accu-Trak and this allows you to switch between two speed recoveries and this works in combination with a microprocessor controlled discrimination device which basically eliminates any guessing on your part, which equals more gold that you find and you will find it repeatedly. If you have had any concerns in the past with machines that gave you trouble with hot rocks, not so for the Minelab Eureka Gold. It goes right through highly mineralized earth with no problems at all. This allows you to shove hot rocks out of the picture and focus entirely on gold.

The price is pretty incredible for what you get in this machine and if you are serious about finding gold, this machine basically pays for itself. The target detection with pitch variation, the signal to noise ration, the control box, it is all perfectly set up so that you can do what you do best: find those gold nuggets.

There are a lot of different detectors to choose from is you are looking to hunt for treasures in a salt water or fresh water environment. One of your choices is White’s BeachHunter 300 metal detector. Let’s take a closer look at this machine. We will look at the specifications, what the BeachHunter offers you in regard to features and functions and look at some great tips that will help you out when going out to look for treasures in salt water or just simply wet conditions so that you do not waste your time and end the day with successes.

Whites BeachHunter 300 Metal Detector

White’s BeachHunter 300 metal detector is designed to sweep both in and out of the water. It uses the technology of color coded LED lights that allow you to identify a target with a simple glance. There are three of these bright lights which work in conjunction with signal tones, these will let you know if you have come across iron, jewelry or coins. Therefore, you not only hear a hit, but you see it as well. White’s BeachHunter 300 metal detector is submersible in both salt and fresh water. For this reason it is designed with 300 coil that is very close to neutral buoyancy, which offers the user great results. The newer 300 coil for searching is larger, therefore allowing you to cover more area each time that you sweep and you are able to go fairly deep.

White’s BeachHunter 300 metal detector works well in up to twenty five feet deep water with good neutral buoyancy. One of the most popular places, as you may have guessed, to use White’s BeachHunter 300 metal detector are beaches. This can be a pleasant environment as well as a great place to find treasures. While you are enjoying the sounds of the crashing waves against the shores, seeing the seagulls and feeling the warm sand, you can find coins, jewelry and other trinkets at the same time.

Sweeping on beaches has changed quite a bit over the years. It has grown more and more popular and is one of the most sought after destinations for the treasure hunter. With the amount of combers out there, we’ll talk about a few tips to make your trip more successful. While you may love the beach that you go to, if you find that there are just too many other people sweeping, it can always help to check an area just a few miles north or south. Keeping an eye on your coil height is also important. Don’t be afraid to get closer to the ground. Another important element is the issue of discriminating what you may think of as a piece of junk. The more targets you actually check out, the better your chances of ending the day with a nice, bigger amount of good finds.

If possible, try to go to your target area during the week when there is less competition. While the weekends may bring out tons of people, if you can possibly go on a Wednesday or Thursday, you may find yourself the only one there who is sweeping and you won’t have to share. Going early in the morning can be one of the best times, as well. And remember that the popular beaches, where people are for sunning and swimming may not be the best spots to bring your White’s BeachHunter 300 metal detector or other. It may be those out of the way places that old what was left behind long ago.

If you take metal detecting seriously or even if you only have time to go out on a hunt once in a while, you’ll want to learn more about the Garrett Scorpion Gold Stinger metal detector. Let’s take a look at this light yet rugged device. We will look at the pros, the cons, all of the features, user friendly capabilities and more to find out if the Garrett Scorpion Gold Stinger metal detector fits your needs. After all, when you are out on the hunt for a treasure, you need a machine that can hold up to the task at hand and deliver excellent, accurate results.

Garrett Scorpion Gold Stinger Metal Detector

The Garrett Scorpion Gold Stinger metal detector is marketed as a great gold hunting detector, however let’s see what this device offers to a user, if it is truly accurate at detecting gold and how well the Garrett Scorpion handles other tasks as well.

This detector has been designed for pinpointing buried gold nuggets; however this does not mean that it cannot be used for finding other treasures as well. In regard to gold, this device has 15kHz of Single Frequency Operation to infiltrate through heavily mineralized ground in order to locate gold nuggets, placer, float and ore veins.

The Garrett Scorpion Gold Stinger metal detector allows a user to opt between non-motion all-metal operation, motion discriminate (for when you wish to search for coins) and true TR discrimination which allows you to precisely recognize or grade conductive ore. This is all done in a second, with the flip of a switch.

When you are searching for gold or precious metals, the last thing that you want to do is to keep being fooled by fool’s gold. The Garrett Scorpion Gold Stinger metal detector was designed so that the user knows when they are passing over not just fool’s gold, but iron rocks, non-conductive elements and low grade silver ore.

Let’s take a look at your options when you purchase the Garrett Scorpion Gold Stinger metal detector. You can choose between the 1194370 with a 5 inch by 10 inch coil and ten inch gold pan or the 1194371 model which has a five by ten inch, three by seven inch coil and a ten inch gold pan.

The specs on this device are quite impressive. It has an adjustable length to take you anywhere from 42 inches to 51. The weight of this model is one of its best features, as the Garrett Scorpion Gold Stinger metal detector only weighs 3.3 pounds (1.5kgs) which greatly impacts usability. As you know, when that arm gets tired, even the best of treasure hunting outings may need to be paused. At under four pounds, you can go all day with this device. Other features are All-Metal Deepseekings mode, an adjustable audio threshold, full range discrimination, a headphone jack, depth adjustment and sensitivity, , surface mounted PC board technology and of course, a speaker.

Scorpion Gold Stinger Detector

Your experience with the detector may depend quite a bit on how much time you take to actually read the manual. Those who do take the time to read it thoroughly, and even perhaps two times, found themselves having positives experiences, as opposed to those who wanted to jump right in to detecting without truly understanding how the device works.

The biggest pros for this detector are the light weight, long battery life and ruggedness. Cons are that changing batteries is actually a bit frustrating, as the housing must be disassembled and it uses three 9 volts, a better area for batteries and running on AA’s would be a good improvement. Also the ground balance when in all metal mode needs to be adjusted often. You may find it helpful to stay in motion discriminate mode.

When you have a Minelab detector, you are sure to be interested in finding out about Coiltek Coils for Minelab metal detectors.

Coiltek Coils Goldstalker Series

The first type of coil is a DD coil. This has several benefits for the user. First of all, it will offer less noise. The second benefit is that it will be able to handle ground mineralization in a better way, thus allowing you to be more successful. Now, the infiltration of a DD coil is that you do not need to overlap your sweeping as much as you would otherwise. However, it is important to keep in mind that it may be harder to get exactly on target with a DD. If you will be searching mainly for gold nuggets, you may be best with a DD, as it will handle that mineralization very well and do so quietly.

A Mono coil is much different than a DD, even if it is the exact same length. The Mono will go deeper. Nevertheless, you should keep in mind that in most cases, the Mono coil will give off more noise than the DD when the ground is very heavy with minerals. This will not allow your detector to properly use the discrimination features as it was meant to do. This type of coil is often best if you will be using your detector in the all metal mode. It will be very responsive to small gold nuggets and easy to make your targets. One of your options for a DD coil is the 15 inch WOT for the Explorer. It is fifteen inches and weighs about two pounds.

There is also the 15 inch MOT coil for the Explorer which includes the shaft and is a bit more. The Joey DD coil is the standard coil for depth and makes it easy to get your target.
